How do I release my bill of lading at destination to a 3rd party?
Your Bill of Lading can be transferred to the consignee or other shipment parties directly from Shipment Details for the shipment in question.
- From the homepage, enter the shipment number into the freetext search box and click ‘View Details’.
- Navigate to the 'Bill of Lading' card on the right of the page and click "Transfer Bill of Lading" or "B/L Release" to authorise the relevant shipment party to print the BL themselves or collect from their local Maersk counter where available.
- Where relevant, use "Electronic Cargo Release" to surrender the BL and transfer ownership in just a few clicks!
