Update 2

Further to our recent update regarding the developing situation at the Port of Brisbane and Tropical Cyclone Alfred. Maersk has received additional updates that forecasted winds are expected to exceed the limits for safe monitoring of containers, including reefer containers in the yard.

We have notification from DP World that the terminal will suspend monitoring of reefers starting Tuesday, 4 March 15:00 "Cyclone Closure" and will resume monitoring once the cyclone has passed and winds have reduced to acceptable levels. Due to the strong likelihood of power outage during this time and with terminal taking all steps within its reasonable control to keep reefers operational, it is highly recommended that customers remove reefers from the terminal before the Cyclone Closure cut-off time to limit any potential impact from a power outage. DP World have advised that they will prioritise requests for removal of reefers containers and will open slots for customers to remove reefers from the terminal from now until the Cyclone Closure*.

*Cyclone Closure time is subject to change with short notice if the weather event occurs earlier than currently forecasted. DP World have advised they will use all reasonable efforts to advise customers of any change as soon as practicable.
