Terminal Congestion At Charleston Wando Terminal and Change in vessel rotation – OC1 Service
Backlog of waiting vessels as Charleston Wando Terminal
The Charleston Wando Terminal is under-going toe wall construction. This will reduce berth availability for up to one year. Since construction start, wait time for all vessels have increased to 5 - 6 days. By waiting for our berth, we risk not having enough buffer time to reach the Panama Canal crossing window.
Updated contingencies
In order to improve the situation, we are strategically calling North Charleston port temporarily to allow for import and export transfer to be closer to anticipated ETA/ETD’s. Rotation updates are below with further structural revisions of the service are under review and will announce in the coming weeks.
