THC recovery charge - Imports

In line with the increase in Tariff by Transnet, Maersk is adjusting all invoices to recover the Third Party Cost for Import Terminal Handling Service Destination (DHC) for all cargo World to South Africa, effective 01st April 2023.

Please could you be guided that we will be recovering the difference in THC on invoices either as.

Port Additional Imports (as per the advisory issued 01st March 2023) .
3rd party fines or expense import.

This adjustment for invoices does not apply to Export shipments. Please could you ensure that all team members who process invoices for your import customers are aware of this important notice. We do invite you to reach out to us should any invoices need to be adjusted for the new tariff applicable.
