The negotiating parties have come to an agreement, and Transport Workers’ Union strike is over, work in depots, ports and terminals has begun with immediate effect in this morning’s shift.

We expect all operations to run normally in all ports latest from 4.3. morning shift.

We still request all customers with bookings with loading country Finland to refrain from updating their bookings online or through other e-channels.

Maersk will update transport plans proactively based on cargo readiness, once we have clarity on the first incoming feeder vessels, their operating windows and deadlines.

27 February 2023 - Update 02

Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT strike continues, impacting all Finnish ports and terminals until further notice.

The negotiating parties have not reach an agreement despite negotiations, which will recommence 1st of March.

All vessel operations in Finnish ports, gate moves and handling of containers within terminals are still suspended until further notice.

We request all customers with bookings with loading country Finland to refrain from updating their bookings online or through other e-channels.

Maersk will update transport plans proactively once we have clarity on when operations in terminals will recommence.

15 February 2023 - Update 01

Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT has begun their strike impacting all Finnish ports and terminals on 15.2. at 6 AM until further notice. The negotiating parties did not reach an agreement and negotiations will recommence later this week.

All vessel operations in Finnish ports, gate moves and handling of containers within terminals are now suspended until further notice.

We will keep all customers informed about their individual shipments effected.
